I am Sunny, an Ajumma from South Korea, currently living in Canada. I have been living here since 2015 as an immigrant. Life as an immigrant isn't easy, sometimes it is frustrating and upsetting. I’ve experienced a lot of culture shock with Canadian culture, food, and ways of thinking. However, I feel lucky and grateful that we are able to enjoy K-pop, K-dramas, movies and news with new technology (such as: YouTube, Netflix, etc.) Looking back on the time I spent in England as a student (22 years ago), it was impossible to enjoy those cultural benefits ( λ¬Ένμ νν ). We were only able to rent videos from Korea Town near London, and listened to DVDs that friends sent. But now in 2020, everybody knows BTS and their music and Zzapaguri and Parasite. My son has benefited a lot from the success of these things here in Canada.
