Korean Cute Slang: Birthday (Gwi Ppa-jin nal)

Korean cute slang:   빠진

We use  빠진 ” (Gwi ppa-jin nal) instead of birthday.

eg. Today is your  빠진날 이야(Gwi ppajin nal iya? - Is today your birthday?)

오늘이   빠진  이잖아  (Oneul neo gwi ppajin nal ijana? - Said when giving a small present)

The literal translation is “the day my ears were pulled out”.

I guess the day when the head, including the ears, comes out of a mother’s womb. Someone says, once the baby's ears come out, it is now safe for baby.

If you meet a Korean friend, you can say, “오늘  귀빠진 날이지” (oneul neo gwi ppajin naliji). 생일 축하해 (Saeng-il chukha-hae - Happy Birthday)

Due to its popularity, one Korean ramen company created instant jjajangmyeon, named "Jjapagetti".  Later, the menu "Jjapaguri" from Parasite was introduced. (I don't know who originally created this menu.) I also got to know it from the movie. In Korea, another ramen (Neoguri) is also super famous of its chewy noodles.  (as you can see the picture). Jjapaguri= Jjapagetti + Neoguri + Beef stake (Black bean sauce is from Jjapagetti,  not Neoguri) From Parasite According to the direct...
